Datacraft upgrades operations for PT Excelcomindo Pratama (XL) with enhanced 3G data centre and intelligent network
Datacraft has completed construction of a new data centre and an intelligent network for Indonesian-based mobile operator PT Excelcomindo Pratama (known as XL), enabling the carrier to expand its subscriber services to include 3G-based video calls, music and movie downloads, games, news-on-demand and location-based services. Datacraft was awarded the US$2.2m project contract because of its proven track record in delivering carrier-class Signaling System 7 (SS7) traffic over IP to Asian clients.

Japanese broadcaster SBS selects Datacraft to build earthquake-proof high availability network
Shizuoka Broadcasting Systems (SBS), a regional radio & TV broadcaster and daily newspaper publisher located in Japan's Shizuoka Prefecture, has selected Datacraft to construct an earthquake-proof High Availability Network (HAN) equipped with Network Admission Control (NAC) on the site of the company's existing headquarters. The SBS deal is in line with Datacraft's strategy to broaden its focus on the media and communications industry.

Leading Call Center in Philippines calls on Datacraft to support expansion
Datacraft has won a project to help Philippines' premier call center and business process outsourcing provider, Advanced Contact Solutions (ACS), dramatically expand and support its facilities to ensure business continuity. The US$2.5m project will see Datacraft upgrade and expand the capacity of four of ACS' existing call centers as well as building two entirely new ones. The project will add nearly 2,000 more seats to address the business needs of ACS's clients.

Silitech chooses Datacraft for Asia-wide WAN IP communications network
Datacraft has won a contract with Silitech Technology, a Taiwan-based multinational electronics manufacturer, to design and implement an IP communications solution that will link a network of five offices in Taiwan, China and Malaysia.

Industrial Bank of Korea calls on Datacraft for US$1.5 million nationwide unified communications project

Datacraft reports 51% year-on-year jump in profits on back of 35% growth in revenue for Q1 FY2008
Datacraft started FY2008 with a strong set of results in Q1 – a 51% year-on-year increase in profit after-tax and minority interests to US$9.4m on the back of a 35% growth in revenue to US$173.2 million, compared to the same quarter in the previous year. The Group’s robust results were driven by strong double-digit growth from all four of the company’s geographic regions. Reflecting the positive momentum of the business, the Group’s Q1 ending order backlog stood at a record high of US$202m.

Despite the hard work and cold weather, our Korean team was in good spirits. Authorities concluded that more than 70% of Taean coast region has had its original condition restored due to huge efforts from the volunteers.

More than Just Greens

Hidetaka “Tak” Kai, as Country General Manager, Japan.
Mr Kai brings with him relevant experience, general management capabilities and intimate knowledge of the Japanese marketplace. He also has a proven track record.

Kai san started his career with Fuji Xerox in Japan and in the US. He returned to Fuji Xerox in Japan most recently and held various Executive level positions focusing on amongst others, Services and Business Innovation. Earlier key appointments included working with Sun Microsystems where Mr. Kai was responsible for Strategic Sales Development in Asia Pacific and Strategy, Operations, Solutions Development and Marketing in Japan.

Mr. Kai holds a Master of Science degree from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) and a B.S. Mechanical Engineering degree from Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan.
