17 March 2010
Datacraft Qualified to Resell and Implement Vblock Infrastructure Packages Hong Kong, 17 March, 2010 - Datacraft today announced it has joined the Vblock partner ecosystem, a community of partners that are qualified to augment, resell, and deliver Vblock Infrastructure Packages. These packages are an element of the recently announced Virtual Computing Environment (VCE) coalition formed by Cisco and EMC, together with VMware. Now Datacraft can help clients accelerate their plans to implement a private cloud infrastructure based on industry-leading technology and take advantage of the critical IT efficiencies this provides. Vblock Infrastructure Packages are integrated, tested and validated data center infrastructure offerings that combine best-of-breed virtualization software from VMware, unified networking, security, computing from Cisco, and storage, security and management technologies from EMC - all with end-to-end vendor accountability. Vblock Infrastructure Packages support a broad range of operating systems and applications that enable clients to rapidly migrate existing applications to Vblock infrastructure to accelerate broad-scale data center virtualization. The private cloud model will drive the future enterprise IT, said Francis Pang, General Manager of Datacraft Hong Kong. Through the VCE coalition, Datacraft is in the best position to enable Hong Kong organizations to leverage the best technologies and integration methodologies to create flexible IT systems that align with their business needs. Datacraft qualifies for the Vblock partner ecosystem through its investment in technical certifications and partner designations for all of the Cisco, EMC and VMware products that comprise the Vblock Infrastructure Packages. Datacraft's vision for the data centre of the future is the close integration of the network with the compute resource and data storage. Our key objective is to enable our clients to benefit from the cutting edge, innovative technology solutions and services the VCE coalition offers, said Pang. The Vblock Infrastructure Packages were developed by the Virtual Computing Environment coalition, which was formed jointly by Cisco and EMC, together with VMware. The coalition represents an unprecedented level of collaboration across development, services and partner enablement that helps minimize the risks in the infrastructure virtualization journey of clients to private cloud implementation.
